The Golden Gate Area Council – Scouting America and The Benicia Scouts will be hosting its annual Scouting for Food Drive on November 15, 2025, demonstrating the power of service and community engagement. Last year’s drive was a tremendous success, with our dedicated Scouts and Scouters collecting over 297,000 pounds of food to support local food banks and families in need.

Last year, our Scouts helped to collect more than 297,000 pounds of food!
Through the commitment and teamwork of thousands of Scouts, adult volunteers, and community partners, this initiative continues to make a significant impact in the fight against hunger across our region. The collected food will help feed thousands of individuals and families facing food insecurity during the holiday season and beyond.
Last year’s outstanding results reflect the Scouting movement’s core values of service, leadership, and civic responsibility. The Golden Gate Area Council remains committed to growing this tradition and further strengthening our communities through acts of kindness and generosity.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all participating Scouts, leaders, families, and partner organizations for helping make the 2025 Scouting for Food Drive a remarkable success. Together, we continue to embody the Scout Oath and Law by helping those in need and making a lasting difference.
